UBAN Capital is a USD private equity fund dedicated to PE investment in infrastructure platform cross different sectors. The majority investors of the fund are world renowned family offices and investment institutions.  

UBAN Capital focuses on new economy sector with strong demand driver and large market size, and investment opportunities with capital dislocation to get risk adjusted return based on fundamental valuation. Sectors including modern life science infrastructure , hyperscale data centers, manufacturing facilities, warehouse, apartment and hotels in strategic areas in Asia Pacific.

Our strategy is focusing on private equity investment in infrastructure platforms and scale the business through fund structures, consolidation and securitization.

FOUNDING PARTNER - GAVIN LU

Gavin Lu is the founder and managing partner of UBAN Capital from 2019.  Before that, Gavin has been an executive director of renowned US PE houses such as Warburg Pincus and Carlyle Group, and started his career from US's largest commercial real estate asset manager Hines Group. He has more than 18 years experience in real estate and private equity investment, withmore than US$3bn equity investment deal experience across different regions in Asia Pacific, across hyperscale datacenter, logistics, life science, retail consumption, apartment and hotel sectors.

Gavin graduated from Sanford Executive Program (SEP 2024), master degree of urban planning from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2006 and bachelor of science degree from Zhejiang university in 2001.  Gavin has been a member of Harvard Graduate School of Design Josep Lluis Sert Council and board member on many of his invested portfolio companies.
